Join Giving Tuesday at Sacramento State

Giving Tuesday at Sacramento State is Nov. 29, 2016

Sacramento State has joined the Giving Tuesday national effort to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. Coinciding with the Thanksgiving holiday and the kickoff to the holiday shopping season, the goal of Giving Tuesday is for the Sacramento State community to take collaborative action to improve its University by giving back to help create a better campus.

Giving Tuesday takes place Nov. 29—the Tuesday after Thanksgiving— and harnesses the power of social media to create a national day dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are synonymous with holiday shopping. Make a difference in your Hornet community by making a gift between noon on Nov. 28 and midnight Nov. 29.

What could my gift support?

Your Giving Tuesday gift supports any college, department or program of your choice. Every dollar helps.

Sacramento State President, Robert S. Nelsen, and his wife Jody have done just that today by making a donation of $25,000 to support students in crisis through student emergency grants. Join them in making a difference today!

Make your gift twice as nice

The University Foundation at Sacramento State is challenging all first time donors, recent graduates, students, faculty and staff to match their donations of up to $100, to a cumulative of $10,000.

Giving Tuesday is Nov. 29, but your support of Sac State is always appreciated. You can make your gift online today or call the Office of University Development at (916) 278-6989.
